The Best Laid Plans...

And here we are on a holiday Monday!

Unfortunately, our date on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary never happened. Little A got sick on Thursday but I was hopeful she would be better in time. Not so much. So much for that! Her fever is gone, but she still has no appetite and is very mucousy, so Adam is taking her to the doctor today. I am a bit worried she either has pneumonia again or another ear infection. Sigh!

I did manage to make us some delicious meals, like Mediterranean pizza last night! And Big A still got to go to the Lion King musical with my in-laws, and today she is having her lunch date with her boyfriend and her girlfriends over for dinner. Since our celebration didn't happen Saturday, and today is our actual anniversary, I think I just might crack open a bottle of bubbly!

Summer is over! Well, at least if you're a student. Officially it doesn't end for a few weeks, and it certainly still feels like summer. Yeah, I hate it. This f*cking hot, humid weather needs to end NOW! We made the most of our last weekend of the summer with our annual trip to the CNE on Friday, with a crowd of friends. It wasn't unbearably lot, thank goodness, and the girls and their friends had a blast on the rides. Saturday I had to work, and Sunday was errand day. Monday we took the girls berry/apple/pear picking but didn't last long due to the heat.
